Silicon Carbide seal faces, bearings and bushings offer excellent thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength, self-lubricity, low thermal expansion and low coefficient of friction — ideal for challenging industrial applications in extreme environments.
Available in two high-performance grades: Sintered Silicon Carbide (SSiC) and Reaction Bonded Silicon Carbide (RBSiC), each offering distinct mechanical and thermal properties for specific application demands.
Produced using very fine SiC powder with sintering additives, sintered at 2,200°C in inert gas atmosphere. Superior corrosion & abrasion resistance, shock resistance, low sliding friction across a wide range of mating materials.
Reaction bonded grade with SiC purity >90%. Excellent mechanical strength, thermal shock resistance and compatibility with aggressive chemical environments including alkali solutions.
